Gen-Y's Switch to Internet-based Viewing

Proximity to present at the New Markets/New Media Conference

Towson, MD- Proximity announced today that Justin Seaton will be presenting at Towson's Burkshire Marriott Conference Hotel on Monday, May 17, 2010. The topic will be, "The change from television to internet". He will be presenting on the Gen-Y's migration to internet-based streaming sites and how these sites plan on capturing Gen-Y over their competitors.

According to focus group findings, Gen Y prefers to watch their favorite shows on the internet rather than the television. These focus group findings have found some very important information about Gen-Y and their video content.

- Majority of Gen-Y prefer to catch their shows online through sites like Hulu.
- More of Gen-Y are streaming movies through platforms using X-box.
- Majority of Gen-Y doesn't like the idea of having to pay for video content.
